This content in our 40min workshop is suitable for those schools participating in the AgriKids Farm Safety Week and AgriKids Farm Safety Ambassador programmes and satisfies the criteria for certification on submission of evidence.

In this event pupils will be introduced to the topic of farm safety by looking at the key farm dangers. They will also be empowered to think safe when they get ready to visit a farm yard, understanding what the safety signs mean and knowing what the animals are saying through their body language.

In this event pupils will be shown how to recognise key farm hazards and to instil responsibility in the upkeep of their surroundings and encouraging safety and safe practices. They will be asked to spread this awareness through conversations in their homes and in the wider community.

This event is not just about recognising key farm hazards but about empowering and encouraging pupils to recognise and act when they see something unsafe. Their role is to mentor and support and create more farm safety conversations in their homes, to the younger classes and in the wider community.
